Halloween...WTF?!

So last night it was halloween and trick or treaters were swarming my block even though only one house was giving out candy. Firstly, I don`t do the whole candy thing anymore and when I did, I feel like a crackhead in a herd of druggies screaming "TRICK OR TREAT" at the top of our lungs. It was completely ridiculous when I think about it. Secondly, I watch how many parents dragging their children through the streets late into the night for something that isn`t good for them just because they don`t have to pay for it. CRUFFY!!! lol Thirdly, the vast amount of them was over whelming to even watch, I mean that literally my entire street, from end to end, was filled with those pests all rushing to one house. and they were ranging in ages from 3 to 40 years old. Kids were fighting with adults over candy, I laughed for hours watching this spectacle. they were so obsessed with this holiday that they rented the tourism train and that was filled with them. Halloween started as a ritual when the spirits of the underworld were allowed to rise again for one night to torment the living. WE wore masked to hide ourselves from the spirited and give them treats to appease the spirits to deflect their wrath.But we have lost sight of the true origins of All Hollow`s Eve.
